ALEXA’S FIRST MEET & LIVE TOUR IN THE U.S.

AleXa

EVENT COVERAGE

Ever been to a K-Pop concert that was SUPER AWESOME, but took place in a small venue that seats less than 1,000 people? Well global K-Pop solo artist AleXa, really burned the stage at the Marines Memorial Theater in San Francisco, California, for her “First Meet & Live Tour" in the U.S. Let’s dive into how AleXa engaged with A.I Trooper, how her casual ments were SUPER funny, and how she has grown as a performer.

THE CITY LIGHTS OF SAN FRANCISCO

It’s 5:30 PM on October 28, 2022, and it was quite a chilly night on the streets of San Francisco. From the honking of cars to the chatter of people walking on the streets, the city was getting ready for a busy Friday night. I just checked into the hotel I was staying at, and decided to freshen up before heading out to dinner. Once I freshened up, I walked downstairs and out the hotel doors to walk to the restaurant that I was meeting my family at.

It’s 6:00 PM, and I started to eat dinner at one of the best Vietnamese-fusion restaurants within the city. Knowing that I was attending a concert for the night, I knew I had to eat well to stay energized. After a nice warm and hearty meal, it was time to head out and walk towards the venue.

The rest of my Friday night plans included attending and covering AleXa’s “First Meet & Live Tour” in the U.S. It’s 7:20 PM, and my fellow Co-Founder and I walked towards the Marines Memorial Theater, where AleXa’s show was taking place. After waiting in line for less than a minute, Brianna and I picked up our press passes for the concert and were directed by the StudioPAV team to review how we could go around taking photos and video footage of the concert. We finally got to our seats around 7:30 PM, and we were excited for the show to start!

THE LIGHTS START TO DIMMER

The countdown for AleXa’s concert was finally winding down, and as the lights started to dim, we knew the show was about to start! Brianna and I started to watch AleXa’s introductory VCR, and I am not kidding, when I say that I started to tear up while watching this VCR. It took me back to the days of when I first got into AleXa, and to be sitting in the front row to watch her perform for the first time was an experience I will never forget!

As the VCR ended, AleXa came on stage to start off the concert by performing “A.I Trooper.” Once the beat dropped, and AleXa was under the spotlight on-stage, she was electric and had so much fun energy that A.I Trooper kept cheering her on, before singing along to the song with her. AleXa made a strong entrance, and the rest of the concert was bomb! (Pun not intended haha).

Thankfully StudioPAV, the company behind putting together AleXa’s tour, allowed us to film and photograph AleXa for the first four songs she was performing. We even got to use our DSLR camera for the best quality!

FUNNY MENTS & HALLOWEEN CELEBRATIONS

As I’ve stated in another concert recap article, I wish I could detail everything I experienced at this concert, but this article would be WAY TOO long. As I did in that other concert recap article, let me highlight some of the more memorable moments I experienced that really stood out to me.

One of the most memorable moments included how casual and funny AleXa's ments were! AleXa made every A.I Trooper feel like she was their friend, which can sometimes be very hard for anyone to convey. I mean she goes from jokingly calling out the A.I Troopers who did not go to her fan signing she did this previous summer in San Francisco to clarifying if those from San Francisco say “San Fran,” which they don’t by the way! Anyways, AleXa knows how to make A.I Trooper feel like part of her circle, and she does it in a very casual and natural way.

Another highlight is AleXa’s Halloween celebrations with A.I Trooper! Not only was the meet & greet photo op Halloween themed, but a good amount of fans dressed up in costumes as well. Since her concert was near Halloween, StudioPAV also hosted a costume contest for the San Francisco show, and two lucky winners got to go on stage and take a photo with AleXa - how awesome is that?! It was really great seeing everyone celebrate Halloween together, while also having some fun with AleXa, who also dressed up in a costume as Naruto! AleXa is just TOO COOL!!

The last highlight I want to point out is how AleXa is as a performer. While I haven’t seen her perform in-person before, I have watched some of the online concerts she took part in, saw footage of some of the festivals she has done before as well, and of course I saw her perform for NBC's American Song Contest. From every comeback to every performance, AleXa has grown tremendously as a performer. This specific concert showed how important her stage presence is, how her outfits and staging go well with each song, and how the chemistry she has with each backup dancer is so on point! It especially seems like after the American Song Contest, performing in front of A.I Trooper in a small venue was not a challenge at all! Sure, I can’t speak for her, but the way she presents herself on-stage, she just makes it look easy, and it's easy to tell that all of her hard work is paying off.

CONCLUSION

AleXa put on one heck of a show! This was me and Brianna’s first time being in a smaller venue to watch a K-Pop artist, and the feeling of being closer to the artist and with fellow fans was quite the experience. Sure, we would love to see AleXa perform at an arena one day with many more fans in seats, but this type of intimate setting made me feel positive emotions that I don’t usually feel being at a big arena or stadium concert venue. Maybe it’s because of how close I was to her from the front row section, and/or maybe it’s because I know that this is just the beginning of her journey to becoming a more well-known artist, but overall I loved every moment of this concert experience!

AleXa is a definitely a must see artist when she is on tour! I can’t imagine what it was like for the people who watched her on-stage in-person for the American Song Contest, but her energy, her engagement with A.I Trooper, and her stage presence were all captivating and definitely memorable.

ALEXA’S UPCOMING COMEBACK

A couple of weeks ago, AleXa came out with two Comeback Concept Trailers that revealed she was coming out with new music! These concept trailers were different and perfection in their own right - from a colorful and vibrant concept trailer to a black and white filtered video, both videos introduced “Back in Vogue.”

Due to the tragedy that happened in Itaewon, AleXa’s activities for her comeback were halted from October 29, 2022 - November 06, 2022, to give respect to the victims and their families that were affected by this tragic event. As of November 07, 2022, AleXa posted a tracklist for her upcoming Girls Gone Vogue mini-album. There will be 6 tracks - one of them being an instrumental version for her title track, “Back in Vogue.”

Also, don’t forget that pre-orders for AleXa’s upcoming mini-album are on sale now! AleXa also has a video call event sign-up open through MyMusicTaste as well. You can stay up to date on AleXa’s activities schedule by following her social media pages.
