The Director is a K-Education mobile app that launched in March 2022. Created by FrontRow Co. Limited, this mobile app was created for K-Content fans worldwide, and for those who are interested in pursuing careers within South Korea. The main motive behind The Director is to service foreigners and English-speaking individuals who are interested in pursuing a career or those who want to conduct business in South Korea.
The idea of creating The Director stemmed from the times of COVID-19. The company stated,
“...many individuals have been negatively affected, and are still adjusting to this new lifestyle. For those who are worried and uncertain about their path in life and career, our company has come up with the idea of The Director.”
This mobile app is the very first K-Content related platform that owns lectures from speakers within various fields. Thanks to these speakers who were willing to share their experiences working and living within South Korea, people around the world can be guided to see if the move to South Korea is a move worth taking for themselves.

So what makes The Director different? With numerous platforms that do provide quality information and tips on a wide range of content and subjects, those platforms tend to be more theoretical and target only the Korean audience. The company explained,
“...we were planning on proposing a similar, but distinctive platform in English, and taking a pragmatic approach focusing on cultural differences, language barriers, and the speakers' personal story on how he/she ended up in South Korea.”
This is just the beginning of what The Director has to offer!

The Director has and will continue to search for public figures willing to be part of this mentoring program. These public figures and speakers are experts within their fields, and are willing to share their knowledge and experiences. From talking about overcoming fears and knowing when to take risks to getting into the details of a specific field and how to become successful are just some of the discussions that take place on this platform.
One mentor and prestigious speaker on this platform is James An - a former participant on the popular television show, Show Me the Money 10. James shares his experiences moving to South Korea, and beginning his career within Korean entertainment as a Rapper. For those interested in becoming an artist within the music industry, he teaches how to overcome the challenges and culture shocks that might appear along the way.
Other astonishing speakers include Visual Director Kim Balko, (who worked with artists like BTS and BLACKPINK) Actor John D. Michaels, (who appeared in K-Dramas like Squid Game) and Gayageum Player Youngjae Cho. Keeping in mind the purpose to display the various sides of Korean culture, there are many more speakers on this platform that share their own journeys and tips on how to start in each career field.
