What’s one of the best ways to move forward in life? Whether it’s starting a new chapter or going through a certain phase in life, music can be a healing method to help people move on. Music can help people confront their feelings, admit to something, and can even help people clear their minds on whatever it is they may be going through. One “genius singer-songwriter” who uses this method of using music to heal is Korean-Canadian artist, JUNNY.

JUNNY was born in South Korea, but immigrated to Vancouver, Canada when he was four years old. JUNNY developed a passion and appreciation for music during his childhood, where he grew up listening to Korean music, Hip-Hop, Rock, R&B, and Folk music with his two older brothers. This shaped JUNNY’s dreams of becoming a musician throughout his years in middle school and high school. Eventually, JUNNY started to play the guitar and started to sing.
In high school, JUNNY pursued his dream earnestly by saving enough money to invest in equipment to create music. Through the help of YouTube and SoundCloud, he fueled his motivation even further after gaining attention on these platforms. By the age of 23, he moved to South Korea to pursue his dreams of becoming an artist.
JUNNY is an all-rounder because of his amazing skills in composition, song-writing, and performing. From composing songs for NCT to composing songs for IU, he’s done amazing work for other major artists within the world of K-Pop. Through these credited songs, JUNNY has showcased some of his talents, skills, and ingenuity when it comes to creating music. So when does he have the time and energy to put all of his skills and talents into his own music?
JUNNY debuted in 2017 with his single, “Thank You." He has become one of the most in-demand soloists, and has collaborated with the likes of ph-1, JAY B, and most recently, CHUNG HA and their latest single, “Color Me." JUNNY also caught the eyes of BTS’ Jungkook, who expressed his love for JUNNY by singing, “By My Side," during one of his livestreams. JUNNY also gets more than 1.3 million monthly listeners on his Spotify account, so definitely check out his music when you can!

EMBARKING ON A NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

JUNNY, recently announced that he will be embarking on his first-ever North American tour titled, The “blanc” Tour. JUNNY will perform in 11 major cities across the United States and Canada. His tour begins on September 04, 2022, and his last show in North America will end on September 16, 2022.
