GET TO KNOW HENRY
EVERLAST KOREA: Using three words, how would you describe yourself as a person in the present day?
HENRY: I don't think there are three words that can describe me right now. But what I could say is that I'm constantly flowing and changing. Oh, that would make two words! But yeah, I mean, I'm constantly changing and evolving. So I think that's how I would describe myself.
EVERLAST KOREA: You’re a very skilled multi-talented performer! Because you excel in many things career wise, from acting, singing, playing the violin, etc. your scheduled activities must book up a lot of your time. Do you have any methods of relieving stress and/or ways you like to make sure you can still have fun?
HENRY: I don't think it's about relieving stress. I think it's about finding the projects that would give me good stress. For me, there's good stress and there's bad stress. If you're going through something that is really hard to do, and it's giving a lot of stress, but in the end there is a good result, you must really like it - I think that's good stress. And I think the best way of relieving stress is by finding the correct type of stress and having a reward at the end.
EVERLAST KOREA: After being in the music industry for nearly 15 years, what do you think your evolution as an artist has looked like in terms of your music career?
HENRY: Being in the industry for 15 years, I think the evolution takes the form of learning more about yourself - you know, from the very beginning. It's like you don't really know what you’re doing, so you just got to put something out. But then I think after the years, it just becomes more and more honest and true to yourself.
EVERLAST KOREA: How would you define your musical sound now? What helps fuel you or helps inspire you to create new music? Is there anything you do in particular to stay creative?
HENRY: So I don't think I can define my musical sound right now, but definitely the performance aspect of my songs is a very big thing to me. I love to show people all the sounds. I like to just show them each and every instrument. And I think the way I stayed creative is through collaborations. I purposefully did some carpool karaoke, and I just love to make opportunities for myself to interact with other musicians. I think that's the source of my inspiration.

EVERLAST KOREA: What was it like shooting the music video for “Moonlight?” Do you have any special or particular behind-the-scenes moments that stand out to you that you can share with your STRINGS and EVERLASTERS?
HENRY: So this time, I actually purposefully shot two music videos. But one was made very differently. One was very dark and very similar to real life, and the other one was just all sunny and happy. I just didn't feel comfortable with one because what I wanted to portray in the song with the message that even when you're going through a hard time you could still just forget about it all. So yeah, that was one interesting thing about this single.
LOOKING FORWARD INTO 2023

EVERLAST KOREA: Do you have any new year's resolutions or at least general goals that you would like to accomplish some time in the near future?
HENRY: What I would look forward to in 2023 is to go and meet all my fans, wherever they are, and I'm planning a solo tour right now. And hopefully I can go to wherever they are!
EVERLAST KOREA: Back in December 2022, you held a Special Christmas Picnic Fan-Meeting in Gwacheon, South Korea to not only perform live, but to spend some quality time with your fans. Will there be any potential new opportunities for more fans to meet with you sometime this year?
HENRY: One thing that I've actually done recently is that I had these small acoustic sessions with my fans. Something more like a fan gathering with a very limited amount of people, but I really hope that I could do that in other countries.
EVERLAST KOREA: If there is an opportunity to create content with us at EVERLAST KOREA, would you be interested and willing to work on a project together?
HENRY: EVERLAST, if you guys have any great concepts, we could definitely look into doing something together. And thank you so much for your time!
